Programs Steph is the CESA 4 lead on the EMLSS project with the DPI in which she works with schools and districts on implementing various aspects of EMLSS. Steph also focuses on standards-based learning including a guaranteed and viable curriculum and standards-based assessments and grading. Work Experience Prior to moving to Wisconsin in July of 2019, Steph spent her educational career in various districts in Iowa. She was a middle school language arts teacher for eight years in a Catholic school in Des Moines prior to moving to various roles within Diocese of Des Moines where she served for two years. She then worked as a curriculum director for the Waukee School District (2 years), the West Des Moines School District (5 years), and most recently the Oskaloosa School District (2 years). In all of these roles, she worked with administrators and teachers to enhance curriculum, instruction, and assessment within classrooms, buildings, and districts. Her areas of passion and greatest training include: Professional Learning Communities, creating a guaranteed and viable curriculum, curriculum adoption and enhancement, and effective grading practices.
