Your Alternative Pathway to Licensure (ALPSS)

STEP 1: Submit your transcripts from any and all institutes of higher learning for review. Submit to alpss@cesa4.org. **PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNTIL YOU'VE SUBMITTED YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS FOR A REVIEW AND HAVE RECEIVED YOUR RESULTS.

STEP 2: Transcript approval. ALPSS will email you if you are eligible for our program and may invite you to apply.

STEP 3: Once your transcripts have been approved, complete the application process and choose payment option.

Submit $75.00 application fee. Payment may be made through PayPal on our website. This fee is non-refundable.

Submit a current resume and three letters of recommendation. These may be emailed to alpss@cesa4.org or uploaded in your application.

CESA 4 will conduct a criminal background check. By applying, candidates will give permission for this background check.

STEP 4: Meet with our admissions team for an interview to determine if the candidate has the disposition desired for teaching and meets program requirements. All applicants will be notified of admissions status (Accepted or Denied). All admission decisions made by the ALPSS team are final.

STEP 5: Admission approved. Begin your licensure program!
Upon Program Application Approval

Once you are approved, a $750 non-refundable enrollment deposit is required to hold your spot in the cohort.

Once your deposit is received, you will receive access to the ALPSS Candidate Handbook, which details program requirements. In addition, the following items will need to be submitted prior to being officially enrolled/admitted.

Complete and submit a payment agreement.

Complete and submit all paperwork provided by the ALPSS Program.

Submit a copy of your Wisconsin License with Stipulations, Substitute Teacher License, OR Paraprofessional License.
