Background: Michelle Powell has been in education since 2010. Many of her early education years (2010 - 2023) were spent at Southern Bluffs Elementary School in the School District of La Crosse. During that time, she had various roles; teacher (9 years in Kindergarten, 1 year teaching First Grade - during COVID), academic interventionist, and 2 year prior to coming to CESA, a Student Success Coach for Behavior. In December 2022 she certified as a National Boards Certified Teacher in Early-Middle Childhood Reading-Language Arts and visited the Governor's residence where she received her NBCT pin. Michelle's projects at CESA include: WiMLSS project, National Boards Cohort, Licensing, Behavior Success Network, and Instructional Services.
